Delicious gyro! One of the best I've had, super flavorful beef and lamb meat. Fries are also great.

In many ways, Nur is similar to other order-at-the-counter Mediterranean restaurants in the area. They offer hummus, gyros, kabobs, grape leaves, etc. In other ways, Nur is a cut above. The very-plain decor is made up for by the food, prices and service. The chicken kabob platter with the equivalent of two kabobs and three sides is $8.99. At most places, I'd expect to pay more for one kabob and two sides. At lunch today, the chicken was well spiced and cooked, the rice was nicely seasoned, and the stuffed grape leaves were warm. The pita was warm, too, but didn't seem freshly baked.
The small market was great! There were a few rows of canned goods, beans and pastas, and a nice dried spice shelf. The prices at the olive bar were much lower than you'd find at a grocery store, and the domestic feta was $3.99/lb. At most groceries, you can expect to pay $3.99 for only half a pound. Nur is humble, simple, clean, affordable and delicious! -

This was my first visit and I must say it was delish...the warm welcome and fast service made the experience that much better, and it doesn't hurt the love it shows my wallet. One meat 3 sides $8.49 is a winner in my book. A great spot for a quick lunch or a place to eat right before a movie, this is the place to try.

I often go to Nur, usually for takeout. It's usually the same friendly staff and the food is quick, fresh, and delicious. Hence, why I keep coming back.
I usually opt for the chicken kabob platter with rice, hummus and grape leaves. It's a lot of food for $10. They also give you pita bread and tzatziki sauce to go with it. I think it's definitely better than Jasmin that it rivals in the immediate area. I will definitely keep coming back. Their sandwiches and gryos are pretty solid as well and they have some good combo deals. -

Came here for lunch recently and was pleasantly surprised! It's more than meets the eye, which may deceive you since it's nestled in an odd strip mall near NC State.
I had the chicken kabob platter with tabouleh, grape leaves, pita & hummus. Everything was delicious! I especially liked the tziki sauce, but the hummus was only so-so.
It's about $9 for a platter, a little cheaper if it's a vegetarian option.
